Cinomisir Kamuynomi
The Cinomisir Kamuynomi is a traditional Ainu ritual to offer prayers to the gods, or kamuy-nomi (gods – pray to), which is held at Mt. Arashiyama, known to the Kamikawa Ainu as Ci-nomi-sir (we – pray – mountain/land). In this ritual, held in a place sacred to them, they thank the gods for the blessings of the past year and pray for the peace and prosperity of their kotan in the coming year.
